I personally hate this mission. I hate it with a passion beyond every fetch quest in this game. Because I always get half way through and remember I forgot something.

So this is a checklist that gets you everything you need to get Gasbag dead and his sister in jail and Empress Celene and Briallallalla back together. I am not here to tell you every option or every in and out over every halla statue whatever who cares I just want this damn thing over as quickly as possible... OK? Just one walk through with those options and done. People I brought were Sera, Iron Bull, (Their introductions in court are hilarious) and Dorian (Who is used to all this crap).

We are not doing... "The Great Blackmail Hunt" or "Throwing Money Away" because I would rather eat shards. You got me?

Section 1 - Let's Begin In A Garden

During conversations always select by default the middle right response. ALWAYS! No arguing, I do not care if you role play vulcan elf nerf herders or whatever. Just use that middle right response by default... it is for the best. So if you are dancing or talking to the Empress use the middle right response unless I tell you otherwise in writing got it?

Basic facts... You can obtain 11 Halla Statues TOTAL and there are too many Halla rooms (Using... I think 23 Halla Statues that's my guess) so do not just go around trying to open all the Halla Statue doors or you use them all up before you hit the juicy rooms. Stop if you see a blank door with a huge arch... stop make sure it will not take your Halla Statues. If you accidentally touch one you have to quit and reload. The basic idea is you should not be trying to "find" a 3 or 5 Halla Door to open without having to do so to progress that section till after Morrigan hands you the Servant's Quarter key.

Last but not least save, save often, save scum this thing to death.

Section 1 - Let's Meet Gasbag

1) Noble woman in the front of garden lost ring. Ring is in the fountain on the right hand wall. Go grab it for her and get approval.

2) Left hand stairs second floor. Back pathway has eavesdrop area and storage room key in flower box.

3) Right hand stairs second floor. Back pathway has loot chest.

4) Storage room has loot.

5) Open the 1 Halla Statue door. That takes 11 down to 10 but you get a ton of xp for one halla so who cares.

6) Go see Gasbag at gate.

Section 2 - Vestibule

1) Right hand side has two eavesdrop areas. When doing this stuff wait for "Good To Know" or "I Had No Idea" that means you got the information. If you get anything else come back to that spot the response does change eventually.

2) Talk to Cullen

3) Finally talk to Gasbag and get on with this mess.

Section 3 - Chit Chat Royal Ass Attack

1) Talk to Sera, Cullen, and Josephine.

2) Talk to the Dowager only after your court approval hits 100. She will give two war table missions.

3) Head to the Vestibule door for Leliana the psychotic mess she always is cutscene.

Section 4 - The Guest Wing

1) The guest wing is open lets go people.

2) See the two female elves go bug them and when they walk off go slightly down the stairs and eavesdrop on their conversation.

3) Next room has an eavesdrop area in front of the lion statue.

4) Small room off to the left. Has an eavesdrop area in the front.

5) Duke Germain... Talk to him and investigate. He is actually nice.

6) Council of Heralds Vassal... Just say "Philippe Is A Jerk". He probably is.

7) Talk to Bull

8) Approach the male elves in the room and watch them walk away and then eavesdrop on them.

Section 5 - The Guest Wing Garden

1) Talk to the three women with middle right response.

2) Approach the nobles when they tell you off go behind them in walkway and listen in for two times.

3) The other side of the garden has a small walkway and a eavesdrop area.

4) Talk to Dorian.

1) Climb the Garden siding by the fountain.

2) Go all the way around to your right and grab Halla Statue.

3) Come back to the room that was in front of you and go inside.

4) Back left corner hidden book which opens door. Go in grab shit and light your torch thingy.

5) Light the urns front to back both sides and they should glow blue.

6) Another secret door. Go down grab all the shit.

7) OK no timers yet except you are losing court favor. Go to the 1 Halla Statue door left next to where you climbed up. You have to open it leaving you with even less 9 Halla. So open it and the big timer starts and the Ballroom bells start ringing. Grab all the shit and run to the Ballroom.

Big Morrigan cutscene. Now shit gets real.

OK stop after using the key she gave you. Put your team back in armor and weapons before going any further because Bioware.

Section 6 - Servants Quarters

1) Halla Statue in kitchen rafters. Just keep jumping on the end of the table.

2) Remember that door you were looking at with the garden you saw through it when you got here. Go to that door. Go out to your left and back towards the house in the bushes. Hidden Halla Statue in corner.

3) Go out the door with the giant fountain. Jump down towards fountain and fight the baddies. Then run right towards the back you will see stairs. Go up stairs till you see ladder. Go up ladder you see open window. Halla Statue in room with open window.

Now jump down and go left out the opposite way to find the Grand Apartment.

1) In the Grand Apartment are tons of baddies just get to the stairs and go up. Bedroom left hand side top of stairs has a 3 Halla Door. Open that one. Locket inside, grab the locket.

2) In the hallways keep going to your left you will find open windows and more baddies and a Halla Statue. Grab the statue, fight the baddies, meet Briallalalalala.

3) Ballroom bells are ringing get your ass back so find the gate up the stairs in the garden.

4) There are three guards in front of the trophy room and the bells are ringing I know I have been there. Stop, get them to go find Cullen to talk about demons or something. Run in and grab everything on the desk including the Halla Statue in the second room fast fast fast you are so late. Ding dong the bells are telling you who is in control here and it aint you.

Section 7 - The Big Setup

1) Dance with Florianne with middle right responses.

2) Go find the three ladies in waiting and mention the locket.

3) Big huffy puffy talk with Empress this time use upper right responses concerning the locket.

4) Balcony next to three ladies in waiting has Briallallalla go out and give her the locket upper right responses again.

5) Turn in any secrets you got to Leliana NOW this is the Royal Apartments which means we are at the end.

6) Final chance to talk to the Dowager your court approval should be near 100. She will give two war table missions.

Section 8 - The Royal Apartments

1) Again put your weapons and armor back on again god damn Bioware!

2) Climb the stairs enter the big square balcony room.

3) First room to your right grab the Halla Statue.

4) Enter the room with the woman screaming get her to testify she goes to find Cullen you grab the Halla Statue.

5) Go down the little hallway to your left. Not the big square room but this is a balcony area under construction.

6) Do not go into the room with the man yelling yet.

7) Go to the opposite door and that should open to another balcony area.

8) Go right and see the open window? Halla Statue in room with open window.

9) Now go all the way back to the big square balcony room and open the final 5 Halla Door you care about.

10) Get the naked dude to testify. Everyone laugh, laugh at the nudie boy.

11) Now go back to the room with the yelling man and open for final battle.

12) After battle you are done opening doors so just hit the Ballroom and stop Florianne by just talking to her in front of everyone.

Now for the big finish!

13) Conversation with Empress should be... Brialla helped. Evidence against Gasbag. Evidence against Gasbag. Evidence against Gasbag. Brialla's reward.
